Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

Her Ghost In The Well

Ghost in the well,
when the rain pours your sorrow is drowned
Rainy nights,
only make the tears drop more
Pleading against cobble walls for salvation,
lest in agony waiting drearily as wet months pass

Scorching summers,
how deeply they burn against memories of skin, muscle and bone
Dreaming of bitter sweet escape,
yet there can be none

Desperate tears thinking of a past reflection in mirrors once mundane,
when the cold reality sets in those days have long gone
Summers pass and autumns fade,
although you still remain
Shrieking in freezing winter nights,
pleading for absolution from such a dreadful stint of being forever

As time passes and the flesh of those who were once keenly listened to rots,
there you remain– all the same, imprisoned inside your well
The real hell being just how many have come and gone,
with not even the glance of an eye to say hello

A amazing poem and tale. My kind of poem. Left me with something to think about.
