A Mind Infinite

Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

The Industrialist

I’ll ask you what you dream about,

do you dream of monolithic cities towering high in the sky casting vibrant shades of neon all throughout the night?

The dream has faded and as have you,

bright velvet roses withered in the downpour of acid rain while you lay bed ridden with tears in your eyes

Fumes from the city in a toxic mist have all but consumed you,

an architect you built your dream from a molten iron seed

Now as you lay in bed with the sheets tangled around your head,

thoughts of glistening green grass fields with a rabbit’s ear poking out in hiding fill your mind

With every heavy breath in nostalgia of the fresh crisp air that has all but disappeared,

as an escapist trying to lock away the outside you close your eyes wishing to wake warmly in the sun surrounded by exotic purple flowers with a blue sky overhead

When the eyes open the heartbreak fills your body as you can only see the toxic fog blocking out the sun,

no longer hearing crickets chirp but helpless infants crying whilst they rot away in gutters

Your dreams have faded and so have you,

with a legacy of death and dust there’s no future left for us
