Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

The Refugee

Stateless, locked on the edge of every nation,

the place I came from they tell me doesn’t exist anymore and remains occupied

Where the bullets rip through your chest for dating to stand in defiance,

where children have their father’s stolen in the light of day and raise stones against the Goliath

A place where the hunger for freedom only grows bitterly as the days pass on by,

where all food is strictly controlled from entering

The bombs drop on our homes endlessly massacring mothers and their sons,

and they still ask us why we fire rockets to prove to the occupier we still exist

Stare at me all you will scrutinizing me through your glasses,

but my people have been stateless for 66 years and your rejection comes as no shocking surprise to me

No I won’t rest,

until the oppressed of the land have been completely liberated
