A Mind Infinite

Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

Insomnia

Fatigue setting in the body,

bones turned into grains of moving sand

Close the shades for the light drives one towards madness,

flashing through life as it were a dream

What’s that moving around in the background?

Heart rate increasing with visions of the worst in an endless repeat,

never ending days of torment with reality as the torturer

Your words are coming in as static,

adjust the frequency, it’s distorted

Eyes forced open walking through another nightmare,

where’s the ending with no exit door in sight?

Clawing against the walls rabid as an animal,

fears of growing cancerous into a pile of sludge

Questioning the rationality of such a fear,

when from birth it’s predetermined that we all turn into stone

Only hope for rest lying with death,

a cold crypt to call one’s home where the rot can be ignored by the resident

Living or not living, is it even possible to tell?

When travelling through another day, seemingly the same as the rest,

dragging the last of nicotine hoping for bliss

Realizing all goals dreamt of were a near miss.

and sleep is so far away to the body, seemingly unattainable
