The Lost Girls of Nigeria

Give Nigeria,

it’s girls back

‘Strong’ fundamentalist men preying on the weak,

taking hundreds of young women in the daylight as bandits

Have they no honor?

Persecuting young women seeking education,

oh, how very righteous

To threaten to sell Nigeria’s daughters,

in the market in the name of God?

With clarity the revelation strikes the light of day,

for the false sense of self-righteousness in the name of God, is little more than a guise for banditry

Set free the daughters of Nigeria,

for they are not commodities to be stolen and sold
