Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

An Ode To René Heidisch

                                René Heidisch,

Your name still echoes in my beating heart

Lest there be a day in which is forgotten was a brave German comrade,

Forever we will remember your words and deeds from,

the harsh deserts of Arizona, the cold streets of Darmstadt; from the heart of Belfast

to Dublin and around this whole wide world

Promising to carry on your legacy of struggle,

for the oppressed people’s of the world and against the fascist parasite

As Socrates, you made your final choice; drinking the bitter poison,

René, we owe a rooster to Asclepius,

fear not I won’t forget the debt

Aus Wiedersehen , until we meet again dear comrade,

may your soul be at peace, for your work I will carry on with great dignity and pride
