Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

The Call

Awaken you prisoners of want,
no longer is there time to close your eyes
For at last comes the age of light,
though tyrants will supress it
Torches will be lit to reveal the shadows of,
of thus which would do us harm
Enlighten your mind for the time has come,
through chaos they can no longer contain us
For we have split their walls of uppression,
with the pounding hammer of the people’s voice
Ringing out in the darkest of halls,
a triumphant call filling the tormentor with dread
Arsenals of weaponry to break the call ring out
firing squads remain futile for there is nothing in which can break the spirit
People waltz hand in hand
towards the fulfillment of the abolition of conditions
Which have chained their bodies to constant labor,
the ripeness of strife has reached it’s full potential
To resound the call to one and all,
the power of the people will build the future
Broken free of of all illusions,
fearing not their superstitions
For we’ll smash them with a resounding cry,
to be held in chains no longer
As prisoners of bondage,
nor as slaves to profiteers
Voices united as one shattering the grip of their hold,
outwardly marching to the sound of victory
From the ashes of the old,
as the phoenix the new society shall soar
The beacons of labor and struggle guiding it forth,
towards the fulfillment of a vision — the crumbling of the age of exploitation
