A Mind Infinite

Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

In Requiem of Spring

Spring melts the bitter snow away,
season of blossoming, growth and renewal
A time of health,
of good wishes and intent
Hiding under the promises of spring,
harm lays dormant deep underneath
Jovial the laughs were,
until came the rain
Pouring from the sky,
tearing through the beautiful spring day
Uprooting trees from their deepest roots,
lightning striking from near and far

There was no great storm in the physical sense,
an inner storm
A storm of the heart,
as the autumn faded along with the innocence of the fall
The bitterness of winter struck cold and hard,
freezing the heart to a figurine where the once bleeding and beating heart steadily stayed
With the melting away,
the storm struck
A reminder of the frozen emotions that lay dormant in the human soul,
reaching out and twisting — reminding one that they haven’t gone away
