A Mind Infinite

Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

The American Reality

Out of use,

no longer of value

Laid to rest,

rusting alone

Tools with no one to use them,

discarded into the dust

Mechanization of labor,

men replaced by machinery

Wandering the streets,

searching for work with no avail

No place to go,

lost in the wind searching for a purpose

Desperately desiring bread and land,

their hunger denied by men in oak chairs comfortably leaning back smoking cigars

Inhaling the smoke as the ash grows,

profit ratios skyrocketing in the background

An endless parade of profit,

while the alienated sit in abandoned homes on the outskirts of the city trying to stay warm

Wondering if the fragments of their lives can be put back together again,

waiting with no avail

Modest means,

dreams of simply living

On the outskirts of town,

from the highways no one blinks an eye as they pass the destitute worn down homes on the edge of their walled off suburban realities

To the people driving by,

those struggling to simply exist, do not matter
