A Mind Infinite

Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

Grant me an empire,

I’ll build you some gallows

For us to share,

while we sit back in our thrones

Seducing the people with mythologies of divine rule,

while gallows are filled with peasants who couldn’t pay their dues

The serfs who scorn and mock,

heads shall surely roll off their shoulders

The princess her hands will be bloody,

sword in hand, dispatching those who dared to look wrongly

Plague ridden blankets shall most certainly be gifted as charity,

for serfs crippled by rigorous work

When the torches are lit and the peasants come for our heads,

as we denied them their bread,

Cake we shall eat until the last crumb is devoured

As our kingdom burns,

we can go to the gallows hand in hand

The rope dropping for all the dastardly deeds we have done,

the empire we built will be all but dust
