Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

A Revolutionary’s Spell

You put a spell on me,

as if you were a prophet

Of a religious order unheard of and lost in time,

our words flowed together as one

So elegantly you spoke and there in awe I listened,

when you asked me, how far I was willing to go to see the revolution unfold

You had me in a spell,

a martyr gladly I would die to see your revolution through

The message has not degraded with time,

only it has boiled and simmered — calling more to it’s ranks to see it through

Side by side we stand together, though you are long gone,

we hold your words in great esteem and know of your works for the people

Committed to carrying out the revolutionary deed,

we won’t give an inch to those who speak against the cause you laid valiantly forward

We will move forward until our victory has been achieved and the chains unraveled,

we chant for you, Lenin, we chant for you

On the streets,

in the broken homes infested with poverty

We will go on,

we must go on and we will chant for you

Though you are gone,

the work you left behind makes our hearts beat with great steam

Knowing our duty,

to rightfully quell the forces of exploitation

We know the cause is just,

for we march further on

Further on,

until victory

Your spell,

has made us a spectre haunting the world

Leaving a mark on the bourgeois,

terrifying them to a pulp

Your spell, your revolutionary spell,

we shall hold in the air

Like the red banners in days gone by,

one by one, the working class must see the defeat of it’s enemies

Only then,

shall we have completed your work

Defiantly and with great courage,

holding in our hearts, the revolutionary spell of V.I Lenin
