Infinity: The Views of a Dreamer

Rain Dance

                Clicks of her feet,

torches light the sky, while the storm grows

Defiantly she dances clicking her feet against the rocky path that leads out to the woods,

Clicking her feet all the way out to the woods,

she can feel along the way that the path is familiar somehow to her

As if a sense of ancient knowledge had come back,

she never wandered down the path in the past

Eerily,  she clicks her feet onward,

as if she knows the way to the farm house and mill at the top of the hill

Where the crow squawks to the chants of the crazed villagers,

their faces covered in a pale white chalk with squiggles of black markings

She clicks and clacks, all the way to the middle of the old well which they’ve surrounded,

dancing her way to the mad chanting of the villagers, all the way to that old well

She clicks her feet, bowing at the villagers who join her in the dance hand in hand,

while she dives into the spiraling water of the great unknown — into the depths of that
